So I finally received my microphone from Amazon! I am currently shooting videos for my YouTube Channel which will hopefully be helpful. You should definitely check them out once I get them up, especially if you are struggling with different science problems.

So after receiving my microphone and giving it a try I could not be any happier with it. I was initially worried as I knew how technical and specific the audio field can be sometimes. I hate buying products only to turn around and send them back. My worry was over the quality.

Well lucky for me, I purchased a Blue Yeti USB Microphone – Blackout Edition and it is phenomenal. All of the reviews were correct, this is the best microphone if you want professional quality for cheap. The sound pick-up is superb on this guy! Just unreal! I had to lay a quilt over my fridge in the other room just to dampen the pick up it was pulling when my fridge would kick on. Not really a problem I foresaw when purchasing, but also not one I am complaining about. Talk about my monies worth. This thing has plenty of functions for multiple situations, with source/sound direction pick-up functions ranging from stereo to omnidirectional.

Now if you really do not have much money to invest upfront, I would refer you to the Blue Yeti Snowball iCE Condenser Microphone, with Cardioid pick-up. This mic is the same mic the pathologists in my lab use for dictation and I do NOT have any worries referring it given the exceptional quality I received with the mic I purchased at Blue Yeti.

Long story short, if you want high quality professional audio for cheap then look no further. Between Amazon’s customer service and Blue Yeti’s quality, you won’t regret it.
