A post long overdue, I would like to introduce Photographer Sandra Niininen, a long time pen pal and friend who resides across the pond. She is a talented photographer, capturing beautiful scenery throughout Sweden’s countryside.
Be sure to check out her site here! Also, check out her DeviantArt Studio. If any of her photos capture your heart or fill you with inspiration then buy a print and support an artist!
The Philae lander has woken up and according to ESA should have enough energy to start scientific analysis of the comet surface within the next day or two.
The Rosetta spacecraft continues to orbit the comet as it makes its way around the sun. This has been a stupendous accomplishment for ESA and hopefully will inspire further space-oriented endeavors across the globe.
The image to the right is credited to the European Space Agency and shows the Philae lander’s view of its landing site on Comet 67P/C-G’s surface following its powering up.
